At the University of Kentucky, we’re committed to offering resources to help you map out your retirement goals, and along with Fidelity, we’re here to help you at every step in your journey. As part of our overall benefits integration efforts, we are consolidating the retirement plans currently offered with our provider of recordkeeping services, Fidelity Investments.

No Action is required as a result of these revisions. Reference this site for helpful information.

As part of this consolidation, the following revisions will occur on March 31, 2021:

We will move to a more streamlined investment lineup, simplifying your decision-making process when choosing investments under the Plans, while still providing options in all major asset classes. The University of Kentucky believes these revisions are in the best interest of you, the Plans’ participants. The investment lineups will be updated to offer a select number of investment options designed to maintain your freedom of choice with a diversified selection of actively managed and index funds.

Fidelity BrokerageLink® will be added to all UK Retirement Plans including the matching plan!

All plans offered to employees hired after July 1, 2015 will merge with the corresponding plan currently only offered to those employees hired before June 30, 2015.

  • The UK MATCHING 403B Plan #51345 will merge with the UK MATCHING 403B Plan #53020
  • The UK VOLUNTARY 403B Plan #51348 will merge with the UK VOLUNTARY 403B Plan #93327
  • The UK 457B DEFCOMP Plan #51383 will merge with the UNIV. OF KY 457(B) Plan #71021
  • The UK 401A PLAN #51421 will merge with the UNIV. KENTUCKY 401A Plan #61955
  • The UK SUPPLEMENTAL 403B Plan #51418 will merge with the U OF KY 403(B) Plan #73795
  • The UK 415(M) PLAN #51388 will merge with the UNIV. OF KY 415(M) Plan #71862

In addition to the above revisions, a new fee structure will be implemented to ensure you are offered Plans that help you to both achieve your retirement savings goals and understand fees associated with administering your account. See the Other Transition Details tab additional information.


PLEASE NOTE: Some of the information provided in the guide may not apply to you, depending on the particular UK retirement plan in which you are enrolled or the individual investment options in which you are invested.
