Wake Forest University is moving its retirement program administration to Fidelity Investments® in January 2027 to provide faculty and staff with enhanced planning tools, transparent fees, and best-in-class technology. While many of our current investments will remain the same, this transition introduces a modernized experience via the Fidelity NetBenefits® platform, simplified account management, and access to dedicated wealth management representatives for in-person or virtual financial advice. It is also important to note that the contributions Wake Forest makes to your retirement plan will remain the same.

This change replaces TIAA as the plan recordkeeper, though you may still choose to maintain existing relationships there for personal accounts or other employer assets. Starting in October 2026, you will receive detailed transition guides and invitations to information sessions led by Fidelity.

No immediate action is required, but we encourage you to stay tuned to the HR Newsletter and the Fidelity transition site for upcoming milestones.
