If you have a balance in the Wake Forest University 403(b) Retirement Plan, the upcoming transition may affect you, even if you are retired or no longer employed by Wake Forest University. Please review all communications you receive from Wake Forest University and Fidelity to ensure you understand how this transition may impact your account.
Installment and Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) Payments
If you are currently receiving installment payments or required minimum distributions (RMDs) from your Plan at TIAA, these payments will transfer to Fidelity. It is important that you review your payment election at TIAA and decide if you will need to make changes based on the assets remaining at TIAA or establish a new payment election in the Plan at Fidelity once the transition is complete.
Required Minimum Distributions Scheduled to Pay in January 2027
If you have an RMD scheduled to be paid during the quiet period (see the Key Dates page), TIAA will issue your payment early on January 4, 2027.
